A Reflection on Menace

My project looks at domestic violence, bullying and child abuse and explores 

both the physical and emotional effects of these issues. Having been a 

victim of bullying as a child, I wanted to re examine my past experiences and 

explore the reasoning behind victimization. The project utilised photography 

and collage to illustrate different case studies.

A motion piece shows a young girl trapped in a home full of all kinds of abuse, including

domestic abuse between spouses, child abuse of her little brother, and physical 

violence to herself and the rest of her family. It aims to shock viewers by forcing them to come face to face with these abusive situations. The project has opened me up to 

the possibility of working with charities in the future, using graphic design to 

highlight these issues.
