Sneaker Obsessed  

Working in a trainer store for the last 5 years, I have become fascinated by the

sneaker culture and how it is an obsession for some people. So I wanted to look into

the collecting side of things. What kind of person collect trainers? Is it a desire

or a compulsion?

I asked a group of people who have a collection of trainers to send me a photo of

their collection and a piece of text to say why they have so many, incorporated the results into my final pieces.

The images I created for each person were used to cover the trainer and the box, and

I made a booklet to showcase each person’s collection and how different they are

from each other. A short movie of the images is also attached to the booklet.
