Objects and Identity
My project started with me looking at how quick we are at judging people/things at first impression. I was interested in seeing how we can judge a person from just a few objects or effects associated with their life whilst not knowing anything about them. I have selected a range of objects that I associate with my dad’s identity and juxtaposed
these with image and text which relates directly or tangentially to them. The viewer becomes both detective and profiler – building their own interpretation of the person from these clues.
